The Tarot Within - Day 26 - Resilience & Release::The 9 & 10 of Wands

As we approach the end of our journey through the Wands, what have you noticed about the cards so far?  Is there an overarching theme?

Pull the 9 and 10 from your deck and spend some time jotting down your first impressions.  How do the cards relate to each other?  How are they different?

Gazing at your 9, what sort of energy is coming from the person on your deck?  If you're using the Wild Unknown deck, what does the arrangement of the wands and the crescent moon in the card say to you?

What's going on in your 10?  Most cards show a man carrying the burden of all 10 wands. Is he carrying it with a sense of struggle or strength?  Is he free or bound by his duty?  What might the weight of the sticks represent?

Traditionally, the 9 of Wands speaks of courage, persistence, and resting before going back into the fight.  This card shows that you know the steps to move forward, you know of the struggle that lies ahead, and you're gearing up for it.  The mantra for this card is "I am full of resilience."

The 10 of Wands shows someone who feels as though he has the weight of the world on his shoulders.  He has taken on too much responsibility and is feeling overwhelmed, but he's still moving forward.  The mantra for this card is "I release the burdens that I carry."

How can you give yourself a break today and delegate tasks so that you can move forward and gain strength?  What is on your to-do list that is not a priority that can wait until later in the week?
